His son is set to play the position at the college level in a few years.Brenden Rice is a three-star prospect out of Arizona. 247Sports has him ranked No. 397 in the 2020 class. He’s the No. 68 receiver and No. 12 player in the state of Arizona for the class. In early June, Rice announced a top 11 schools list. Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Michigan, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Oregon, Texas A&M, UCLA, USC and Washington State made the cut. He visited Michigan a few weeks ago, for a huge Wolverines recruiting weekend that saw double-digit recruits make the trip to Ann Arbor. His Twitter profile picture is now of him in a Wolverines uniform. On Tuesday, Brenden Rice appeared to hint at a potential commitment to Michigan. He doesn’t outright say it, but it is hard to interpret this #GoBlue tweet as anything else.#Goblue y’all in for sum special tmrw 😁‼️— Brenden (@BrendenRice) July 2, 2019Of course, we won’t have to wait too long to find out. Rice said the “something special” is coming today. A commitment seems like the most likely thing, but even if he doesn’t take things that far, Michigan is obviously in a great spot with the NFL legend’s son.All six of the predictions in 247Sports crystal ball for Rice have him choosing the Wolverines.Michigan currently has the No. 6 class in the country. That includes a pair of four-star wide receivers: A.J. Henning and Roman Wilson.
